The Regional Museum of History in Kardzhali was founded in 1965. It consists of three storeys, where rich archaeological, natural and ethnographic collections are exhibited. The exhibitions of the three departments with over 30 000 exhibits show the most characteristic features of the historical development of the eastern Rhodopes from 6th c. BC to present day.
The museum is located on 4 Republikanska Str. (working hours 9:00-17:00, closed on Monday).
