The Levski municipality is located on a territory of 414 sq. m. in the central part of the Danube plain (in the Touchenishko-Dolnoosamski region) and it is a constituent part of Pleven county. It is bounded to the north by the municipalities Nikopol and Belene, to the south – by Letnitza, to the east – by Svishtov and Pavlikeni, and to the west – by Pordim municipality. Historical monuments of national significance were discovered near the villages of Malchika, Izgrev and Strejerovo. The tumulus 3 km from the village of Malchika is known for one of the earliest Latin inscriptions on the sacrificial altar dating from the 6th century BC. The ancient necropolis, the tumuli in the village of Izgrev and the rock in the Sveta Troitsa (Holy Trinity) locality northwest of the village of Stezherovo are also listed as finds of national significance.

The areas alongside the Osam River banks are very interesting. The places feature diverse flora and fauna. They are the natural habitat of waterfowl and migratory birds. The old riverbed is very well preserved on the land of the village of Balgarene.
