Mount Snezhanka

Pamporovo is the biggest ski-resort in Bulgaria and is about 10 km far from Smolyan. The highest peak in the resort is Snezhanka – 1926 m. There is a television tower here, which is 156 m high.

A number of ski runs come from the peak to the resort complex and the Smolyan lakes. The average annual temperature here is 8,5 degrees, and the thickness of the snow cover is 140-150 cm. The “Studenets” chalet is located at a height of 1735 m above sea level, in the foot of Mount Snezhanka.
