Voneshta Voda is situated at about 30 kilometres from Veliko Tarnovo in the northern foots of Central Stara Planina. Its altitude above sea level is 150 metres. The water of the mineral spring here has a hydrogen sulphide smell, from where the name of the settlement came. The mountain and the presence of curative mineral water help for the development of balneological treatment and climatic tourism for the purposes of relaxation, strengthening the organism, improvement and normalisation of the metabolic processes and the functions for almost all of the systems in the human body. Voneshta Voda is the birthplace of the legendary Philip Totu.
