Yablanitsa
The Yablanitsa municipality is located in North-Central Bulgaria in Lovech District. It is situated in the central part of the Fore-Balkan. It is at a distance of 85 km from the capital city Sofia, 72 km from Lovech city, 80 km from Pleven city, 220 km from Rousse city, 150 km from town of Svishtov and 360 km from Varna. Municipal cneter Yablanitsa town is an important crossroad junction on the road Sofia - Varna - Rousse; Hemous highway passes at 1 km from the town. The territory of Yablanitsa Municipality is covered by a well developed road network in good condition.
Sights and tourism: In 2001 the Saeva Doupka cave (village of Brestnitsa) was restored; it is one of the 100 national tourist sites. Yablanitsa Municipality is the starting point for the St. George Monastery, known as the Glozhenski Monastery. Dragoytsa fore-mountain is an enjoyable place for recreation and tourism. Five eco-paths have been set up. Some other natural sights are: Garvanche protected park; Nanovsko Blato, Bezdanen Pchelin, the Lednitsite locality.
