Vitosha is a mountain in the western part of Bulgaria, between Stara Planina and the Rila-Rhodopes massif and it is the only dome mountain in Bulgaria. Mount Cherni Vrah (2,290 m) is its highest peak. Vitosha national park, covering 26,000 hectares, is the oldest reserve on the Balkan Peninsula. Together with the very park was established the Bistrishko Branishte reserve. From Sofia there is a cabin lift to Simeonovo and a chair lift to Dragalevtsi. To reach the Golden Bridges and Kopitoto, the way goes through Boyana, from where you can reach the beautiful Boyana waterfall. Dragalevtsi monastery is also located on the territory of the park.
