Melnishki piramidi (the Pyramids of Melnik) are rock formations in the southwestern slopes of Pirin which encompass an area of 50 sq.m. They are beautiful sand formations in the surrounding area of the town of Melnik.
These pyramids are one of most frequently visited rock formations in the country. They reach a height of 100m and they are formed by the erosion impact of water, winds, heat and cold. On the top of the pyramids there grow different deciduous plants and grasses.
