The Museum of History in Plovdiv was first opened in 1951. It is represented by four large departments, established in different years and united in 1993. They trace back the historical past of the Plovdiv region from the early Ottoman period (15-17 c.) to the present day. The fund of the museum houses over 60,000 exhibits.
The museum is located on 1 Saedinenie Square; working hours 9:00-12:30; 13:30-17:00; closed on Saturday and Sunday
