The village of Govedartsi is a resort settlement, located at an altitude above sea-level of 1,100m in the foot of Mount Malyovitsa. It lies 70 km south of Sofia. The climate here is temperate and the scenery around the village is very beautiful. In winter the surrounding area of the village offers good conditions for ski sport. Located nearby are the remarkable Lakes Urdini, the Seven Lakes of Rila, etc.
